Position Purpose:
The Data & Reporting Analyst is accountable for the development, maintenance, support and/or enhancement of enterprise business intelligence and analytics solutions. The person will partner with a cross-functional project team through all phases of the project lifecycle, from needs analysis through deployment and support/maintenance.  
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1.                   Architect and implement solutions that touch on database, ETL, OLAP, OLTP, data warehousing, data mining, SSAS cubes, and reporting technologies.
 
2.                   Evaluate and recommend technologies that will forward the company?s strategic BI initiatives.
 
3.                   Architect, design and develop high performing and scalable database solutions that are utilized by reporting and analytical tools.
 
4.                   Maintain data query environment by completing performance tuning, query optimization, and performance profiling.
 
5.                   Perform code reviews, analyze execution plans, and re-factor inefficient code.
 
6.                   Investigate data and reporting anomalies, providing support for maintaining and modifying databases and reporting.
 
7.                   Design, build and deploy actionable reporting solutions while following established standards.
 
8.                   Develop ETLs of structured and non-structured data.
 
9.                   Participate with other team members in the design, development, testing, implementation and documentation of best practice Data Warehousing solutions.
 
10.               Ensure data accuracy and reliability.
 
11.               Studies existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new systems and data specifications to improve production or workflow as required.

Qualifications
Education
Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
 
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of business experience required. Minimum of 6 years business experience may be substituted for previously stated education and experience.
 
Job Specifications
 
·         3+ years? experience with the Microsoft BI toolset ? xxxx/xxxx (T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, SharePoint, Power BI).
 
·         Hands on experience in creating database objects such as Tables, Constraints, Indexes, Views, Indexed Views, Stored Procedures, Triggers and Cursors.
 
·         Demonstrated experience developing complex data migration, transformation, synchronization, and replication.
 
·         Demonstrated experience developing SSIS packages with scalable ETL components and complex business logic that involves data extraction from different heterogeneous sources like text, CSV, Excel, SQL Server, and Oracle.
 
·         Excellent knowledge in using transformations like derived columns, lookups, data conversions, Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) and conditional splits.
 
·         Experience with MDX querying/coding and cube design/development using SSAS.
 
·         Working knowledge of designing and developing reporting portals and dashboards and managing subscriptions/delivery methods using SSRS.
 
·         Experience with the formatting of reports for various visual representations using conditional formatting and templates.
 
·         Data warehouse /Data mart development experience.
 
·         Demonstrated strength/excellence in : Power Pivot, Pivot tables, Pivot charts, Power BI, and Share Point integration.
 
·         Ability to connect disparate data sources and see "the big picture".
 
·         Strong collaboration and analytical skills with attention to detail.
 
·         Strong design and architectural skills.
 
·         Excellent oral and written communication skills are required for interaction.
 
·         Works well under pressure, remaining focused and calm in the face of distractions and changing priorities.
 
·         Ability to prioritize workload.
 
·         Works effectively in a team environment.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
·         Bachelor?s/Master?s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field ? Engineering, Mathematics, Economics.
 
·         Microsoft Certifications ? MCTS/MCITP in Database Development and/or Business Intelligence Development and Maintenance.
 
·         C#/ASP.NET development as it relates to SSRS/SSAS customized reporting
